How It Works ESG Check Find a Consultant Resources Community

Things business owners ask.

Plain answers to the questions we hear most from Greek SME owners.

Physisorg is the first platform connecting Greek SMEs with verified ESG consultants. We provide free tools — including the ESG Health Check and Framework Navigator — and a curated network of sustainability experts who understand the Greek business environment.
After completing the ESG Health Check, you can browse our network of verified consultants filtered by your sector, budget, and the ESG framework you need. You can view consultant profiles, check reviews, and request a free 30-minute discovery call before committing.
Yes. All data submitted through Physisorg is encrypted in transit and at rest. We are GDPR compliant and do not share your data with third parties without your explicit consent. Consultants can only access data you choose to share with them.
After registering, you are taken to your business dashboard where you can complete the ESG Health Check, view your score, browse consultants, and access all educational resources. The entire free tier requires no payment details.
ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. It is a framework for measuring and reporting a business's impact beyond its financial performance — covering areas like carbon emissions, employee wellbeing, community relations, and how the company is managed. Banks, investors, and large clients increasingly use ESG data to assess risk and make decisions.
Three practical reasons. First, your large clients — who must report under CSRD — will start requiring ESG data from their suppliers. Second, Greek banks are moving toward ESG-linked lending criteria. Third, EU-funded tenders increasingly require sustainability credentials. Starting now means you are prepared rather than reactive.
CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) is an EU law requiring large companies — those with 250+ employees, €40M+ revenue, or €20M+ total assets — to publish detailed sustainability reports from 2025. If your business is smaller than this, CSRD does not apply directly to you. However, it indirectly affects you because your large clients will start requesting ESG data from their supply chains.
Yes — completely free, with no payment details required. The ESG Health Check is a 15-minute questionnaire that gives you a score across Environmental, Social, and Governance dimensions, plus a personalised roadmap for next steps. We offer this free because we believe every Greek SME should have access to basic ESG guidance.
Consultant fees vary by scope and experience. For a full VSME Basic Module report, most consultants on Physisorg charge between €800 and €2,500 depending on the size and complexity of your business. All consultants offer a free 30-minute discovery call so you can get a quote before committing.
No. All free tools — ESG Health Check, Framework Navigator, educational guides, and resource library — are available at no cost with no subscription required. You only pay when you hire a consultant, and even then, payments go directly to the consultant. Physisorg takes a small platform fee.
VSME (Voluntary SME Standard) is an ESG reporting standard developed by EFRAG specifically for small and medium enterprises. It consists of a Basic Module (11 data points, 5 topics, 1-2 days effort) and an optional Comprehensive Module for more advanced reporting. Unlike CSRD, it is voluntary and proportionate to the resources of an SME.
No — VSME is voluntary under current EU law. You cannot be legally penalised for not having a VSME report. However, your banks or large clients may informally require it as a condition of lending or supply chain participation. We recommend completing the Basic Module proactively.
The Basic Module typically takes 1–2 working days for a small team, assuming you have access to your energy bills, employee records, and basic business information. With a consultant, the process can be completed in under a week including data verification and quality assurance. The Comprehensive Module takes longer — typically 1–3 weeks.
